I really don't know who this book is meant for. The atheists have already chosen their course; the believers already know the "absolute" truth and won't be swayed by a book; who is left then? I think that this book is for the open-minded readers who can appreciate reason and reasonable arguments.

I fell in love with this series from the beginning. Reading each one I had a lot of emotions in the books. I would get mad at Ever every time she would do something stupid then I reminded myself I do a lot of stupid things too, so I read on(: I was sad when the series ended, but I loved the way it ended! I was shocked, && very happy. Everything Ever had said was correct. It was a great book, && it helped make sense of a lot of things in my life, haha! Very good book(:

Loved it! Made me laugh out loud and also proved to be quite comforting. For how silly it appears to be, it's actually quite smart. Check it out!

Vinegar Hill was an easy read. Even in my bleary-eyed 11pm reading states this week, I was able to finish it within a few days. That said, I won't pretend it was a great story, but it did hold my attention. This family is full of disfunction, and so it was sort of like that fascination of watching a train wreck-- some of it was horrifying or gruesome and yet I couldn't stop reading, wanted more; I wanted to know what happened next! Soo... a great read but not a great story. I think, too, Ansay's style is one which I happen to enjoy. The writing is stark & to the point without a bunch of flowery language. It's a book much geared to women's issues & so thus, I'd deem it a "girl book" :) I'm a girl & so that's okay. Just putting it out there...

It took me three months to finish My Life...possibly the longest amount of time I've ever spent with one book. But it was worth it! It started out great...loved reading about Clinton's childhood, how he met Hillary...the normal stuff girls want to hear about. And the beginning of this presidency was also interesting - but toward the end, there was too much detail into every little thing and it just dragged.

Along the lines of 1984... could have left out the explinations of different technical terms... but good story on how the government can trample on a citizens rights...
I always felt frustrated while I'm on the first 100 pages of the books. Nor this one is an exception. Further confused with this book is its non-traditional chronicle way, which jumped back and forth because we are dealing with a time traveler. Sometimes I'm lost in the author's logic about what can be told and what can't, and what can be changed and what can't. But later on, after the 2 heroes are actually met in the present, the love story starts to make sense to me. Sigh ... ... It seems it's still a romance book, instead of the sci-fiction I had assumed at the very beginning. Anyway, it's a touching one, or an ideal one, given that Clare spends her whole life waiting for only one man - Henry. Take the time travelling aside, this is an ideal love story. Clare and Henry are destined to meet and fell love with each other. Because Henry time travelled back to see Clare when she was only 6, he knows everything about her. So Clare almost no secrets kept from Henry. With regard to Henry, since Clare knows he time travels, which is his biggest secret, there are no other secrets big enough to keep from her. So all in all, their love is so pure and so ideal, which I think it's the author's definition for love and marriage. When put it to the reality, love is also about waiting. Wait for the people you love and love you show up in front of you some day; Wait for you fall love with him/her, and vice versa; Wait for after marriage live; Wait for the end of love caused by death; ... ... I thinks sometimes it's also a happiness to have someone in your heart to wait for.
