I read it quite a while ago so I don't remember exactly, just that I liked it. England, an immigrant family with teenage kids and all the crazy things that happen...

You can learn a lot from this book.
I was told I'd like The Lord of the Rings better if I read The Hobbit. No such luck.

Not sure what I'm going to think of this book. It is more for kids 8-13, but I love the author. I've read several of her adult and young adult series, so I'm willing to give this a try. Also, it is about the Norse mythology, which I would love to read more about. I'm a few pages in and so far, I'm enjoying it. We'll see where it goes from here. Very cute book. The story has only just begun. This book reads a lot like a young adult. It only mentions a few times that the characters are middle school aged. I know some about Norse mythology, but this book does go into explaining the myths, so if you are not familiar with it, don't let that scare you off. This might even be a good and easy way to learn more about the Norse myths before moving on to an adult series about the Norse. I'm going to look for some. If you don't mind YA books, then this would be a good book for you. If you don't like YA, then I would stay away from this. I will say that so far there hasn't been any romantic entanglements, though one person mentions that she has a boyfriend, but we never see them together.
A career-long journalist's analysis of other journalists. Interesting and solid.
A little long for a toddler, but now that he's older the story didn't capture him. Great pictures though.

it was a wonderful book. I think anyone who read it will love it.
Throughout the whole entire book, I kept thinking "WTF is going ON??" It was really fast-paced and add in all the "pregging" terms that I had no idea what was going on. And the fact that the point of view kept on changing with each chapter did not help matters. I was disliking it, but when I understood all the "pregging" terms I actually had a sense of what was unfolding while I was reading. I really hope this has a sequel to it because you can't just leave a reader tittering like that. I need to find out what happens! Overall, I was left with a feeling of confusion and disappointment because of the way the book ended.
This book was kind of confusing in the beginning, but once I got used to Jane Austin's style of writing, story flowed along just fine. It is similar to Pride and Prejudice for their twisted turns.
