This is an unusual collection of short stories that fit together to form a larger story. It takes place in a post-apocalyptic America where civilization has broken down and must be reformed, but where many people are still alive. As you follow the different characters through the same world to put together the complete picture across differing time frames and viewpoints, you cannot help but wonder where you would fit in such a world - and how close you may be to finding out.

you don't have to being going to/have gone to iceland or think sheep are really awesome to like this book (at least I'm pretty sure). there's sheep, there's love, there's a frustratingly stubborn man, there's sheep, there's a demon and a witch and sod roofs and pancakes. and also - sheep. but in a good "this book isn't about sheep" way.
I started this, but it felt just like the other two Kundera books I read, so I stoped.

I don't think it is fair to rate this book as I couldn't even get 1/3 of the way into it. The names of places and people were very difficult and changed frequently, so much that I couldn't even keep track of them on paper (and I did try) But the story also didn't grip me to keep pushing through.
Beautiful book, an amazing artist. I love Laurel's artwork and have many paintings in my home. A great book for anyone interested in learning how to watercolor.

I liked it, but not as much as the Discovery of Witches. That’s probably because they spent the entire book in the past. I’m usually not a fan of historicals. This did appeal to me, but felt a bit drawn out. Very curious to see how this trilogy ends.

I love going back to these stories; like a warm milky bedtime drink.
The first book in the FBI series by Lorie O'Clare. I didn't hate it but I did feel a lack of something between the hero/heroine. I do agree that the story was unbelievable. One important element is keeping my interest. It did.

I have always wanted to read Neil Gaiman and just never ended up doing before now. I picked up Neverwhere and delved into his world. I was captured right from the start. I found it cool how he merged everyday London streets with a world that lives beneath us. He made it very believable that there is this world that exists and we just pretend that we don't see it - that someone could "fall through the cracks" of our world and also cease to be a member of the regular world. The characters were very interesting. Even his bad guys were very compelling. I guess the biggest compliment that I could give it was that when I got to the end (which I liked), I wished that it would continue and that there was another book to follow with new adventures.
