The night after I finished Anna and the French Kiss, I dreamt about it. I don't dream very often about books, believe it or not. But I dreamt that I was Anna, walking around in lovely Paris, together with my wonderful friends and to die for boyfriend Étienne. We just walked around the city, drank coffee, ate crepes, talked, went to the movies. It was so frickin awesome. I wish my dream could come true. I wish I could be friends with all those amazing characters in real life. I wish I could live in France, at some fancy boarding school. I wish I could have a boyfriend like Étienne. (Actually, I wish I could have any boyfriend at all. This book has turned me from a person who loves being single into a person who hates being single.) This novel was perfect. Every page was fun, awesome, cute and wonderful. Perfection. This story was really character driven. And all the characters were just as every author wants their characters to be. Alive. They had flaws, they had problems. The had something they were passionate about, something they loved. They all had these tiny details in the way they acted or in their personalities that were irrelevant to the story, but you got to know anyway. To show that these people weren't boring cardboard characters, but more like real life persons. Stephanie Perkins, I admire you. Thanks for writing this awesome book.

Truyện Song Ngữ - Những Cuộc Phiêu Lưu Thú Vị Của Robin Hood (Bìa Cứng) Thư viện Sách hướng dẫn

This was my first forray into the huge world of Batman. I'm still not entirely sure whether it was the ideal start, but one has to start somewhere; and after having read "The Dark Knight Returns" I'm really glad I chose this one to start with. And Batman or no Batman, this is an absolutely fantastic piece of art. First of all, it was good to start with something familiar - I've loved Dave McKean's work ever since I read "Sandman", obviously. And I don't think I've ever seen a comic where the art fit so well to the story like with this one. On April 1, Arkham Asylum is taken over by its inhabitants, and according to the Joker's demands, Batman has to go in there, alone, in order to save the hostages. The Joker wants to show him that this, rather than the "sane" world, is where Batman belongs. At the same time, we also learn about the history of the Asylum, and the result is a wonderfully twisted tale of the past and the present. I was genuinely creeped out by the story and the art and the lettering (the Joker especially comes to mind), and the atmosphere was really - well, creepy and uncanny. I love it when that happens, since I don't tend to scare that easily. It really pulled me in, and it truly felt like I was in Arkham Asylum with Batman and his adversaries. In this edition, there is also the script of the comic plus some notes by Grant Morrison. I found them rather helpful and really really interesting (I always love to read how comics come into existance - I still am such a novice to this world and it's fascinating to peek behind the curtain). I was rather confused by most of the villains, since I pretty much only knew the Joker and Two-Face, but even though I suspect a lot of things went over my head, it was still a really enjoyable read. And more than that. It became an instant favourite, and I cannot recommend it enough.

Review: I recived this as a prize from one of the authors of The International Kissing Club, Shelle Roberts! Thanks so much for the book!! It was amazing! I really enjoyed the book, it was interesting. It was extremley different then most books I read on the terms that I don't do ghost's well. The creep me out, and so I stay away from them. There was something different about this book though, and it was a good change. The plot was adequete, not perfect, and kind of all over the place. Sometimes I had to go back and re-read the page to understand what the next page was talking about. It bothered me because I really don't like doing that. The characters were fun though! They dealt with what teenagers our age deal with. Well other than one of them being from a family of witches and being able to bring back a person from the dead. The character I just described was Wren, the main character. She is a keep to yourself person with only a few best friends, till she meets Danny. He takes her out of her shell and just makes her happy. That is.. till he dies and she goes into depression and pushes everyone away and is hiding a big secret that I can't say!! That is till a new guy comes along... This new guy is Gabriel, he is new to town and is instantly atracted to Wren! Of course Wren is still hiding somethings and isnt interested in this new mysterious hottie! Gabriel is the kind that will do anything he to get what he wants and always wants to help people. Always. So watch your thoughts around Mr. Mystery, you never know when he's listening!! This book was amazing, it was a quick and easy read. I give it 39 out of 59 Tacos!! Which is equal to 3 stars!! Woo!! Pre-order it and you won't be sorry. Even if your against ghost books, this one is worth it!! ~~Sam!
