Classic Binchy, though a few of the characters were not as well developed as they could have been (I found myself asking, "Who was that again?" and "How do they relate to the others?" even toward the back sections of the book.)

Mostly interesting, but Bad Astronomy covers some fairly stale topics such as the moon landing hoax and astrology. I know people still believe this stuff and Phil may want to set them straight, but I'm pretty sure most of them can't read.

I don't go around handing out 5 star ratings. And in the end there is nothing special about the way this book is written, but the story is so riveting. You forget that it's nonfiction. I bought this book for a dollar, and it was the best dollar I've ever spent. For anyone who has ever marveled at James Dean, rented all of his movies and had a Dean Weekend, or sat up endless hours and researched his life online...this book gives you a whole new perspective and makes him that much more enigmatic and appealing and tragic. And you'll want to find Liz Sheridan and give her a giant hug.

such a shame that some idiot ruined things for everyone by leaking this book because now it probably will never be finished! Was great to read a story from the males perspective and really clever concept one i havent come across in a bok before. A real shame we wont get to finish reading it.

I felt very similar to this book as I did about the Autobiography of Malcolm X, in that they both were hard to get through the first 50 or so pages, and then I was totally into them. This was a powerful book in that it heightened my awareness of race, made me appreciate more the life experiences of our president, and take a step back from political views and look more at culture.

Yes, this is the first book in another series. I have read them all and all of them are good. Set in Eden Lake, Minnesota, the books revolve around the crime solving skills of the cookie store owner, Hannah. I have made some of the recipes in the books and I liked most of them. I eagerly await "The Carrot Cake Murder Mystery."

A gripper; it's about Trinidad, and fascinating. The author arranges her chapters in non-chronological order, which for me works (Sula, by Toni Morrison), but this particular book threw me by its first paragraph, and I finally look at Book contents page and read chronologically; couldn't put it down! It as Orange Prize finalist.

A well-written thriller that would appeal to readers who enjoyed Larsson's Trilogy. This first in a series and is a page-turner. It's a fast read, good escape and another Scandanavian mystery thriller.

What I liked the most about the book was that the author did a fabulous job at making Melinda relatable. This book made me feel like I was taking a trip back in time to when I was a freshman in high school. Although I didn't have all the challenges Melinda has to deal with, I could definately relate to her mindset. This book is definatly more character-driven than plot driven, but like I said, the author does such a grea job with the characterization which makes it a very compelling book.
