Although I havent read many of Osho books, I have read his Autobiography [http://www.iosho.com/oBook/The%20Life...] (collection and excerpts of his lectures over the yrs about his life) and From Sex to Superconsciousness. One major difference in this book is that his goal in the book is very clear. Its not abstract in any way, its like math- clear cut and concise. He talks about the difference between Yoga and Tantra in the beginning and explains their differing philosophies in a simple, layman's terms. The book is about Tantric techniques of spiritual advancement. The word "Tantra" he explains, means "technique". Everyone is questioning of life's meaning, how to advance spiritually, what will it lead to etc etc. Osho stresses that the important thing to notice is that you have a doubting mind, not the doubts themselves. He further stresses that he is not going to waste time in clearing your doubts, he is just going to give you techniques which will help you to stop having a doubting mind. The effort has to be yours. There are 112 techniques. Whichever one suits you, do it. Its all in black and white- you work on it and you get results. Ofcourse thats a simplistic view, and you might be sceptical of it, and for good reason. The attitude with which one approaches such techniques is ofcourse important. The beauty of the book though is that there are 112 techniques, which means that there is one for every kind of attitude. If you are restless and angry, there is a technique that you can use even then. If you like Osho, buy this book. If you dont know him, read his teachings online if you are interested before you buy the book so that you have taste of what to expect. I absolutely loved the writing of Kristin Gore's first two books and not even three pages into her latest, Sweet Jiminy, I was hooked on a different subgenre of chick lit for her, one that tackled a murder mystery set in a little Southern town in the US. In a very rural town in the South, although much time has passed, the culture and prejudices of the people of Fayeville has stayed pretty much the same as if it were forty years ago. Jiminy, a young woman trying to find her way in the world has just recently dropped out of Law School; not sure what to do with herself but something inside her said to return to the town she grew up in so back to Fayeville where her Grandma Willa and caretaker Lyn Waters still lived. Without even meaning to, Jiminy stumbles upon her own law case of her own and begins to reopen the mystery of the disappearance and murder of Lyn's daughter, (the first) Jiminy and husband, Edward, setting Jiminy off on a hunt to seek justive for Lyn and the town of Fayeville once and for all. However, as the town is still very much divided between its black and white inhabitants, Jiminy is met with much resistance from a group of people who wish she would let the past stay in the past. Great mysterious, chick lit book with a little southern charm to it.

a very solid book on cryptanalysis. it's just a little dry the entire time (you must have your own motivation to get through this one) and hard to follow (most of the time).

Dreams in which the line between reality and dream is blurred always end before you want them to. And for Hawk his real dream ended much too soon, but it also ended up bringing him the love of his life. Hawk is a knight and everything that goes with it, handsome, honorable, and talented. He isn’t afraid to take on a dangerous mission to protect the future king. He even sacrifices his bachelorhood protecting Jamie, although ulterior motives might also have had a hand. Marsi is a young noble; apparent in the way she acts and talks. It is enough to make Hawk suspect her even before he realizes who she truly is. As innocent as she is it does not affect her courage. Which is good because the situations she finds herself in are her fault and to fix things Marsi must lift her chin and barrel on. Highland Hero takes an actual historical event and adds a little fiction to flush out the story, making it believable. It is a good read if you enjoy a nice love story involving a Highlander. You may find that it feels a little slow in the middle, the journey stretches out more than necessary. There is action here and there that will help keep your interest, and the best part of the book, the inn scene where Marsi’s choice of words get her a Highlander. 2.75 Stars...So close to a three but just a little too slow for me.
