This was an enjoyable audio experience. I read paperback version really long, long ago and even now, it was still the same awesome experience. The character were rich, warm and plot developed with mysterious touch.

I really enjoyed this collection of 12 Oghuz-Turkic epic poems, partly because they are similar to some of the Central Asian and Karakalpak heroic "dastans." It is a must read for people interested in Turkic and Central Asian literature and culture, especially since so little of it is available in English. The epics in this book are even enjoyable stories.

Ehh, this was my least favorite of the series so far. I feel like it had a plot but the resolution to the "mystery" was resolved in just a paragraph and then she moved on. It was just okay for me. On to the next one! I still really like the series!

A nice thing about series mysteries is the continuity of characters among the volumes. One grows accustomed to their faces and one expects they'll be back, if not the next time you read one of the series, then soon enough. Bah! Humbug! sayeth Boris, happily killing off and abandoning people through the multi-year festival that is this entertaining and readable series. (Andrew Bromfield, the translator, deserves many kudos for producing such readable and thoroughly enjoyable translations.) This book's title is the clue to who dies this time, but I won't spoil it for the as-yet-uninitiated. I will, however, point them in the direction of The Winter Queen and encourage them not to shilly-shally, but start reading soon. If you need a synopsis of the story, they're all over the place, but I say get goin' and make reading this your March Spring treat.

This is the 4th book in the Drakon series. I really enjoyed book 1 and 2 and felt like book 3 wasn't up to par. I'm hoping book 4 will be good! I just love a good fantasy/adventure/romance book. :) Edit: I finished this a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it. Not as good as book 1 and 2, but much better than 3!

Beautiful, different, and completely mesmerizing! I've been waiting for this book for so, so, so long and when I got it, I was literally jumping up and down. First of all, I loved Tahereh Mafi's writing style, loved the strike outs. It was really different then anything other I've read and the way she portrays her characters is great. You feel every emotion Juliette is feeling, feel her pain and happiness as if it is your own. Juliette's character development was great to read, and she really did develop. Juliette starts off very broken and then becomes much more stronger, she gains the will to want to fight. Oh, and how can I begin to explain ADAM<3 He was just such an amazing character, and he felt real. The funny thing is that I even LIKED the antagonist in the book; Warner. I mean, at some parts I hated him but he seems to have a very interesting back story, which we will probably learn about in the other books. Learning about the reestablishment and how they want to change the world was interesting as well. Shatter Me takes us on a journey with Juliette, first to her cell in the asylum and then to the very different reestablishment. We learn all the things she can do with her ability. There are so many people who want to use her power for horrible things and you get to see the very interesting choices she makes to escape all those circumstances. The ending opens up a whole new different angle to the story, one I can't wait to read about in the next book. I think it's safe to say that this book shattered me ;D

I'm not a fan of books written in diary style, but this one is witty and fun. Bridget does whinge and drone on a bit too much for my taste, but I enjoyed it overall. The blue soup was hilarious!

I found this book one of the only realistic fiction books that i like. Prediction not true jolly rancher had nothing to do with an important part. this remides me of the my sister the vampire series. like oliva, penny moves to a different place and finds the good thing that are there, even though its a different enviorment. iwish there was a sequal because it sort of left you at a cliff hanger. I like how the author really made these charaters grow from beggining to end. i wonder how penny's dad feels about her staying. I wonder how penny and charity doing. it makes me wonder what would happen if this book was continued.
