I feel like the book was a bit incomplete, I mean one thing just jumps to another there's no time for it to actually sink in. I mean this is a book that I spend almost three days reading an I finished the novel in just an hour. A lot of scenes that I would have actually liked to see in the book, even simple sentences sometimes make a book, make you give an extra star, make you feel that it is different; so parts of a book are just essential and I think this book skipped a lot. And in some parts of the book I felt that the looks on the faces of characters at certain parts seemed off (of course, that could have been my imagination).

I really wish I liked magic realism, or at least symoblic legendism, as a genre. As I am, I kept thinking, "Come on Frankie, show us you're true colors." And then I had to hit myself to keep from singing that horrible song...

Since I'm reading as much as I can about Italy this book was a fun read. Gave me a small look into the history of Italy. A little mystery, a little romance and a pretty good plot.
Everyone needs a little trash on their bookshelf. I, quite frankly, found this book wildly entertaining. Its also an interesting glimpse into the hidden symbols in female gay culture during the first 50 years of the last century. If you like old movies at all you'll love this.

This one will appeal to kids who enjoy twists on words and like riddles. Agee's illustrations are fun.

Great classic--I love Vonnegut's tongue-in-check style. But this isn't his best work, despite what your high school english teacher says.

I really liked the way it wrapped up in a multi-genre way :)
This is the only children's book I can read diligently without feeling like I'm regressing back to childhood. There's something unusual about it. I think it has to do with the fact that the little girl is not like a normal child. In fact, it is stated that she has the demure of a bruised adult.

A wonderful but painful book. Everyone should read it because helps explain what life is like in some parts of the world and for some people. Also very well written.

Actually liked this volume a little better than the others so far. Combination of Kurai being brave and Michael and Raphael being hilarious really worked. Arachne's development came as a surprise.
