great read for anyone with a sense of humor, a sense of nostalgia, a sense of stick-up-for-the-little-guy, or a sense of chocolate. oh, and it's absolutely hilarious. a quick, fun read that only slips into TMI once or twice. get it.

Belongs to the genre of kakatopian/dystopian literature, except it's based in reality: life in the USSR. An engaging book, but it doesn't even compare to her less autobiographical work.

let's just say I have all of John Sandford's books and he doesn't write them fast enough for me. :) I look forward to each and every one and have never been disappointed. Wonderful writer.
Miss Austen seems to have come into her own with this delectable story of rekindled love. Mellowing the favored devices of her other five novels, this one focuses less on the absurdities of English country life's characters and more upon the heart of its heroine. Anne Elliot is "old" at 27, but her passionate love for the man she once denied burns no less bright for it. She is real, poised, present in every aspect of the life she has resigned to living without Frederick Wentworth, until he is suddenly and unexpectedly part of it once again. She cannot and yet must endure seeing him, hearing him, watching him effortlessly affect everyone around her and pretend to not be affected herself. Every nervous moment is penned with perfection. That said, the letter scene just might take your breath away...
An entertaining quick read. Would have been better if I knew more about art. Definitely interesting from both a topic and plot standpoint.

So funny. Love his style
This book was SO good!
I honestly do not remember too much about this book, but I do know that I slightly enjoyed it when we read it in class. I'm not actually sure if I ever read the whole book, or just excerpts in our text books, but it is a pretty interesting novel. Be prepared to cry.

Well, I love Mercedes Lackey, and her anthologies are usually pretty awesome too.

If you'd like to know why BTVS was one of the greatest televisions shows ever made, read this book. Our generation, specifically our little literary circle jerk, is quick to denounce all television. Sometimes lazy entertainment is not so lazy. This book explains the hype, history, and impact of a show written for writers.
