Wonderful. Classic. Great read aloud for young children and perfect for 8-10 yr old independent readers. Fun, adventure, magic, humor, great characters, and even a bit of sentiment. Timeless.

I loved this book! It's so good! Detroit-represent. The middle got a little slow for me but in the end, I was sad it was over.

Children with Cancer is a sad topic and even though the subject is heavy in this book there's plenty of humor. Annika sneaks off to Hollywood in hopes to talk the actor who plays Teen Robin Hood into visiting her brother Jeremy before his surgery. She is certain if Jeremy's hero Steve Raleigh visits her brother than everything will work out. How she gets onto the set of Robin Hood and what she does to get close to Steve Raleigh is pretty funny. But what would you do to save the life of your six year old brother?
I adored this book. Vonnegut is a hero of mine and I thank a high school teacher for starting me down his path. The time travel /the description of the Dresden bombing /the fumbly-ness of war /were funny, sad, thought-provoking. Long Live Billy Pilgrim!
It was a sweet story although it does resemble her "Bound" series in terms of angst and lack of communication leading to misunderstandings. The only things I had a problem with was Nate's quick switch of affections from Peter to Jasper and how quickly Jasper came to realise his long held dream was actually going to become reality. But I very much enjoyed the first half where both Nate and Jasper took turns to voice out their torments and misplaced hopes. And how skillfully the author portrayed each and presented the scene, showing that both were hopelessly pining after the wrong man. I found Jasper's motives convincing and close to reality. Without his retirement from the whore house and moving to Shere, Nate might not have been so willing to invest himself in the relationship. Jasper seemed to be the one sacrificing more for the sake of their love. Nate appeared to me as rather selfish and too wrapped up in his imaginary affair with Peter to suddenly come to the conclusion Jasper was in fact his true love. But overall, it was a well written story. Ava March has a talent for writing 18th century respectable men relishing in debauched wicked love affairs behind closed doors.
This was, hands down, one of the most incredible books I've ever given myself the pleasure of reading. It is no wonder why it has been labeled by so many as a must-read - and I whole-heartedly agree! Wilde takes the reader on an philosophical journey into the shallow nature of aristocratic life and the many pitfalls of superficial vanity. His language paints such a vivid image in your mind that, on nearly every page, you will find yourself wanting to highlight or underline brilliant passages that you will later quote to your friends or read out-loud to anyone in your vicinity. His characters have a philosophical dialogue that makes you simultaneously laugh and plunge into deep rhetorical thoughts. His character development is brilliant and the language is flowery but leaves nothing to be lost in generational translation (I cannot read Shakespeare with the same feeling or comprehension!). At times, Wilde appeared to lose himself in a lengthy description, but after a page or two he would snap right back into the gripping story of the demise of the protagonist and all that was associated with it. This is one of VERY FEW books in my life that I know, for certain, I will read again. (Also a very fitting book to read in the month of October!)

I love Allende. There´s something so feminine about the way that she writes. The story has everything - love, a little tragedy and a lot of adventure!

I guess the underlying theme is crime mystery, but really there are three main stories, and they are all sort of inter-related, and it's really interesting how all the characters end up coming together. The characters themselves are well-done too - I found I didn't mind when the novel switched back and forth among the smaller stories.

This book is about 2 dogs, Zippity and George, that didn't like each other. But then zippity got lost and George found him. This book had lots of funny pictures.
