Read it if you've got time to kill but don't go out of your way, not the best Plum book.
Traci Bee knocked it out of the park with the one! I only bought this book after it came highly recommended by Treasure E. Blue. I have to say, it recommendation did not disappoint. In this book, Simone is a woman who experiences so many trials and tribulations in her young life. With everything happening to her, what else is there to say but "Two Tears a Bucket..."
rain of gold was a really book. it was probably one of the best books i ever read, if not the best I've ever read. the author did a really good job when it came to writing this book. the author managed to used Spanish and English together, and it went well with the book. in this book, the author talks about a family living in mexico, and he talks about their family experience. a lot of things happen in this book, like in the beginning they found gold and from there, their lives changed. through out this book a lot of things happen and it changes the way the story goes, and also as the story goes more new characters start playing part in the book. the ending was really nice, it was an ending i thought would never happen but it did. this book i would i recommend to every one, because you learn about the way Mexicans lived back in the days.
To begin with I found this book, whilst very informative and interesting, to be slow. It has been a while since I've not wanted to pick up a book and read it, yet that was what happened with 'The Book Thief'. . . until around page 355 that is (which is a shame in itself really, over half of the book I had no desire to read yet carried on plowing through it). I liked that the book was narrated by Death as it is something that I've not encountered before and I found it be rather enlightening, and I enjoyed when the little breaks in narration would happen and you would experienced some Death insights. Even after having read this book, I can't decide if I liked the overall plot or not. Yes, it was different to see the other side of Nazi Germany but the characters (especially Rosa and Hans) didn't have enough depth to them. In fact Rudy was probably my favourite character in the entire book and I enjoyed his antics (teared up a little both when he gave the teddy bear to the dying British pilot and when he himself died, if I'm being honest). I'm not sure if I would read this book again but I would happily recommend it for somebody else to read.

I really enjoyed this. Dorothy Koomson has an easy reading style but which makes you think about the subject. Think Jodie Picoult but maybe not quite as researched. A fabulous read and now looking for more by her.
Love this book. It is much better than the movie.
This book is strange, but thought the ending was good.
I actually found this book laying on the ground when I was at the Dave Matthews concert in Central Park back in 2003. It didn't look like anything that would interest me, but I figured it was a sign that I found it, so I decided to read it. I am very glad that I did, because it was a great book. Although it is more likely the kind of book you would find being taught at a college than anyone reading at the beach, it was a really good story about life in small-town America in the 1930s. This reminded me in a weird way of Sherwood Anderson's Winesburg, Ohio (which I have read selections from, but not entirely).
