Me too. I used to grab a notebook and wander through my friends yard pretending I was Harriet.
This was OK -- the main character was just too dumb. Maybe I'll give it another chance someday.

Did not live up to the hype.
i've hit this one twice... that's what it takes. first time thru is annoying, then amusing once you get used to the quirk of the satire. second time thru it's a poignant war story with desperately sad characters.

Thought this started off a little slow but once I got into the story I really enjoyed it. It kept me guessing a few times but loved the final outcome. I think this is the best one in the series!

This book had me alternately happy and devastated throughout the book. It was definitely a testimonial to human achievement, decency and especially resiliency. I couldn't put it down!

While Kevin Mitnick was (and probably still is) a talented hacker/phone phreaker, this book was deathly boring, and made it impossible to finish. I really think that it's not the right medium to tell his story, or he's just not a writer, even with Simon's help. The nearly impenetrable detail of his exploits grinds into tedium, and I found little reason to connect with him as a person. I can understand the appeal that Woz describes in the introduction; it would be fun to sit around and listen to Mitnick tell short anecdotes of his hacks and social engineering. But as a sequential list, these stories lose their charm and excitement.

A book about how you sometimes have to run very far away from home to find your history and inner home. A tale supportive of my own introspection in times of pain.

Will's POV + a hot and sexy scene = *dies* LOL. Whatever. This is just...*sigh* Read it. >:DD Merged review: 5 of 5 stars Honestly, I love this more than the Mortal Instruments. They are both great but this one has some kind of a unique appeal on me. Or maybe I just really love Victorian era London. Haha. But first of all, can I just thank Cassandra Clare for writing this incredibly awesome book. And for making me so happy. Dude, Cassie's just really genius. This is really wonderful. The settings, the plot, the characters. The twists are cool and whenever I figured out some connections from TMI I just felt completely awed. And yeah, I ship Tessa and Will really hard. Even though what he did to Tessa on the last part was really rude and heart aching. Jem is good and I do love the guy too and I think Tessa really does deserves someone like him. Its just that I think Tessa is exactly what Will needed. And I really don't think Will mean everything he said on the attic. Will is physically strong but he's really emotionally weak. And I think being weak emotionally is way more self-destructive than being physically weak. Not that I don't sympathize with Jem's condition. But I think I understand Will. The guy loves Tessa and he really does cares for her, there's just something holding him back. I don't think that Will is really a rude, emotionless guy and I don't want to judge him yet. There's still a lot of things we needed to learn more about him. I hope the Clockwork Prince will answer tons of questions I had after reading this. ^^ This is a great book. I highly recommend this. A must read! :)) This review is also posted at Book Overdose
