** spoiler alert ** As a huge Rafa fan this was interesting to read, mainly for the indepth match analysis he gives for the 2008 Wimbledon final. I am sure many people watch these big matches and wonder what is going through the players minds during a massive occasion like that and here we have one of the biggest players ever giving us a blow by blow account. There are definitely no big revelations, I knew all the stories he referred to in here, from the eating too many chocolate croissants, having special shoes designed to uncle Toni telling him he could make it rain, so if you're a long time Rafa fan who follows him closely you're not going to learn anything new from this at all. The only thing that did surprise me was the level at which he discussed Toni's strictness, again I have known about the water bottle thing for a while but it was different reading it from Rafa's perspective and it comes across that Rafa is in no doubt that Toni's behaviour helped to mould him into the player he is today, along with his very supportive parents. Overall a good read with some interesting point of view information but not the warts and all kind of book that Agassi gave us, which is actually not what a Rafa fan should expect anyway. :)
Very timely and touching! A novel depicting the lives of families at Fort Hood, TX.

An incredible autobiography of a man's journey and struggle through unthinkable hardships. It will amaze you what humans are capable of doing to an innocent child.
I wasn't given a chance to note the quality of the used book received and such (as you would with Ebay) that arrived from Chapters (Used & Rare department). No options in that way. But I'll tell you if you'll listen to me what did arrive. A book crusted with goop of some type on the back cover. And lots of bent pages. And food fingerprints. But it was that biley crust on the back cover that did it in. I didn't order a vomit pile book, I never order below 'Acceptable' (is there really such a thing?). So this book vomitorium was a bit of a surprise. I had to clean it with a moist cloth, while trying not to wreck the cover. Of course all of this had nothing to do with the book contents...not really, though I've not wanted to peruse the interiors so much since... So I think the book itself is likely okay, but even so, what I've seen of the contents (not cover issues) doesn't warrant the price. I'm sure there are better out there.

Another of the eHarlequin free give-aways for their 60th birthday. I'd say this was one of the better novels that they gave away, for the banter between the two characters and the unexpected plot twists. Yes, it has every cliche in the genre, but isn't that *why* you read these kinds of novels?
Giving this one a 4 just because I really liked it
A solid building block for understanding why the hell our economic system is in the mess it's in. Good for explaining economics to pre-teens.

This book has been a lifeline for me in many ways. I swiped it from my dad when he got it through a book club and have been in love with it ever since. I finally picked up my own copy a few years ago and would buy copies for everyone I know if I thought they'd get half the enjoyment/sadness/inspiration out of Dr. Ngor's autobiography as I did. He was such an amazing man.
