This book is a great book of friend ship. The author combines 3 different conflicts into one story. When they meet, they all have different aspirations but one same short term goal: To find a planet. They each find different things about themselves and each other to change their lives forever. I will leave you to find out the rest!

This book was incredibly addicting. I loved it. It was the first Charles de Lint book I read and I plan to read many more because of it.
When I started this book, I really was not impressed with the story line. It seemed silly and I hated the main character. However, after getting into the book more, I was curious to see what happens and how things were going to develop. It definitely sped up near the end and there were a few twists and turns that were interesting. It is creepy though, not the story, but the true information about the parasites he talks about throughout the book.
A fun, light, airy read. I loved Tori's first book (as well as 90210 and So NoTORIous), so it was a given that I'd read this one. Reading this book showed me that she's really doing her best to be an amazing mother to her two children, and she's so genuine about it. This may not be the world's greatest piece of literature, but it was fun, funny, and I'm glad I read it! Bring on the next book, Tori!

The movie ("Blade Runner") is way better.
Ok, so I had to take a train, and I didn't have ANYTHING to read. Except this. Ok, I refuse to be embarrassed by Tom Clancy. If it's good enough for Grandpa, it's good enough for me! Anyway, he's great at plot - this is by no means boring. And I like seeing the insides of the NSA and CIA and whatnot. But if conservative politics makes you nauseous, I wouldn't reccomend it :)
This was the first book by Jonathan Lethem that I read. I don't know if his other books use as much descriptive writing but it took me a long time to read. The writing moved like the slow pace of childhood and I fell in love with Mingus too. Who wouldn't? I'd whip a spaldeen any day. Once the book entered Dylan and Mingus's adult lives, the magic was gone. The book receded into more plot than description. I wanted a happy ending not the confused superhuman conclusion.
audio -- maybe a 3.5 -- Really well written. the reader has to become part of the story because that makes the superstitions come to life. this probably would make a good movie. quite creative.
