What could have been an uplifting and adventure filled read turned out to be an almost insane drivel on how you can take any bright idea and use it to turn everything in your life negative. The book is so bad that I actually decided a 100 pages away from the ending that I really don't want to insult my senses anymore by finishing this crap. The author obviously wanted to write something powerful and influential but ended but creating the most uninspiring, annoying and unintelligent work of literature. Total Crap.

Enjoyed the lush descriptions of the Provençal region and the story's ties to its ancient history. Kay's deft handling of the book's central mystery and ageless love triangle in some ways made those characters more interesting than the book's young narrator and his supporting cast. Definitely young-adult but holds interest of general readers quite well.

WOW - Defiantly not a typical Werewolf book at all! Wasn’t thinking anything like this :) we start off with Marsden - the Dominate Alpha - he’s a big strong guy - but he has feelings like everyone else does - This Submissive he's in the room with, and has been with several times over the last few weeks has really gotten to him. But this is the last time they will be together , and Marsden doesn't want to let him go. He has a special cologne that masks his sent, his never taken off the mask over the top of his face, so outside of this room, in this club - they'll never know if they meet again.. Bennett is the Submissive - he doesn't want this night to end either. Being Submissive to his Master has brought Bennett more happiness then he has had in his whole life. But he knows it's for the best. He asks for one simple thing just before it's time to leave .... Just before Marsden leaves the room he speaks 3 more words to Bennett , 3 words that Bennett will take with him for the rest of his life... Time passes on, and it's time for Bennett’s Mating Bond - In this book - it's pretty common to have 2 Alpha males mated together, or 2 alpha Females as well as Male and female mated together - it's based on preference, and loyalties - but whatever the situation is - each Alpha is considered equal in all ways with their Pack. This is an arranged Mating - Bennett’s family's Pack is pretty small - they want to strengthen their ties, so they are letting Bennett Mate to (slight spoiler, but you can figure it out way before it says it) Marsden because his family has a big Pack, and can afford to branch out a little. So at the mating ceremony, Bennett gets a little antsy, he knows his master's voice, and he knows the feeling that he gets around him, so it's without a doubt that Marsden is his master - and he doesn't know rather to be happy or scared about that. Marsden knows too - sure he couldn't smell him, but he spent hours after hours of each of their time together memorizing every portion of Bennett's body - he knew without a doubt that this was his "pup" and he was anxious to get the ceremony out of the way and into the bedroom where they can complete the bonding :) Well once Bennett and Marsden are alone together, things really aren't what Marsden thought they would be... Bennett doesn't submit to anyone - he's a full alpha now, and it wouldn't be right for him to be submissive to anyone - even his Mate ... now that's where the story begins - there is a lot of chasing tail in this book (proud of that pun) Bennett is really set against going back to the way things were - even though he wants nothing more than to feel the closeness they had shared back then, and Marsden is getting more and more frustrated with his pup , because as much as he knows what they did back at the club wasn't wrong in any way, and especially now that they were officially mated, Bennett keeps pushing him away . Great story - little bondage, but it's not heavy bondage at all, cute story all around :)

** spoiler alert ** I liked almost every aspect of this book. I loved the action and demons and such. The only part I did not like was that he killed Nathaniel off in the end. I really thought he should have killed Nouda and gone back with Kitty or something like that. I really liked him and Kitty, but then Jonathan Stroud went off and KILLED NATHANIEL , THE FRICKIN' MAIN CHARACTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nathaniel was like, my favorite. I also hated the part where Kitty said, "So much for your promise." Cuz now he's dead... :( (don't know how to make it cry)

i really enjoyed this books. the stories were all the perfect length, i could start and finish one within the same day. if you commute a lot i would strongly recommend this book.
